Mian Nawaz Sharif, former Prime Minister was hit by a shoe today while he was delivering his words to a gathering in Jamia Naeemia’s mosque in Lahore. His words were shut done by humiliating him with a targeted shoe thrown by unidentified man. Ousted PM Nawaz Sharif was invited to attend a seminar in Jamia Naeemia seminary in Garhi Shahu, Lahore. This disgusting act is such embarrassment to whole nation.
We highly condemn this act. Steps should have been taken when Khawaja Asif was spilled with ink yesterday. Ahsan Iqbal faced similar humiliation of shoe targeting and Maryam Nawaz’s picture placed over sewage main hole. If the voice has been raised earlier this daring act won’t have been done again. BUT it is never too late. Steps should be taken to stop humiliation of our political leaders we support you in this.
Who was that person? From where did he come out? What was his aim? So many questions arises in regard of this act. The guilty person is taken under custody by security agencies at the venue. His action was followed by the crowd beating him and stopping him from running away.
All political leaders have condemned the incident verbally and on social media. Some tweets are shared below:
